Working principle of clean water centrifugal pump
Under normal circumstances, liquid can only automatically flow from high to low, and from high-pressure equipment to low-pressure equipment. If the liquid at a lower place is sent to a higher place and the liquid in low-pressure equipment is sent to high-pressure equipment, a certain amount of energy must be provided to these liquids to achieve this goal. We usually call the equipment that can provide energy to liquid a clean water centrifugal pump.
The driver drives the impeller to rotate through the clean water centrifugal pump shaft to generate centrifugal force. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown toward the impeller outlet along the blade flow path, and the liquid is collected through the volute and sent to the discharge pipe. The liquid obtains energy from the impeller, which increases both pressure energy and speed energy, and relies on this energy to transport the liquid to the work site. While the liquid is thrown toward the impeller outlet, a low-pressure area is formed at the center of the impeller inlet, and a pressure difference is generated between the liquid in the suction tank and the center of the impeller. Under the action of this pressure difference, the liquid in the suction tank It continuously enters the impeller through the suction pipeline and the suction chamber of the pump.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary applications of this centrifugal pump?
This pump is ideal for clean water and chemically non-aggressive liquids. It is widely used in domestic and civil applications, including water distribution with pressure sets, transferring liquids, and irrigating gardens or allotments.
What are the motor specifications of this clean water pump?
It features a two-pole induction motor (2850 r.p.m) with Class B insulation, IP44 protection, and S1 continuous service. It includes a thermal protector for single-phase models, and supports both single-phase 220V and three-phase 380V at 50Hz/60Hz upon request.
What are the operating limits for temperature and suction lift?
The pump operates with liquid temperatures up to 60°C, ambient temperatures up to 40°C, and can handle a total suction lift of up to 8 meters.
What materials are used to construct the pump components?
The pump body and support are made of cast iron, the motor housing is aluminum, the impeller is brass, the mechanical seal is SIC/Graphite, and the shaft is carbon steel (with AISI304 stainless steel available on request).
How does the centrifugal pump transport water from low to high pressure?
The motor rotates the impeller to generate centrifugal force. This throws the liquid outward, increasing its pressure and speed to transport it. Concurrently, a low-pressure area forms at the impeller inlet, drawing in liquid continuously from the suction source due to the pressure difference.
Where should this pump be installed?
The pump must be installed in an enclosed environment or at least sheltered from inclement and harsh weather conditions to ensure its durability and performance.
